Join us! Financial peace of mind is a right. Together, we can build healthier, more financially secure lives.
Our Story
At whealthy, we understand financial stress. Many of us have experienced it, which is why we created whealthy: a nonprofit dedicated to reducing financial stress and improving well-being.
wealthy + healthy = whealthy
We combine community care with technology, using AI to personalize financial education. Our focus is on building confidence and supporting those often overlooked by traditional financial advice: students, families, and workers in stable and unstable jobs. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all our resources empower, not profit.

The Journey

whealthy’s journey is rooted in real conversations, guided by community need, and accelerated through collaborative action. What began as academic research evolved into a movement—one that now reaches youth in Texas, New York, and beyond.

June 2022 – Financial Literacy Workshop
On June 3, 2022, whealthy and FSC collaborated to host a virtual workshop titled “Financially Empowering Youth & Vulnerable Populations.” The program featured a panel of experts from BankUnited, Urban League of Long Island, Inc., Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (LIEOC), and Zaremba Brown PLLC, alongside researchers, teachers, and students. The event launched new animated video content and addressed critical community needs.
Attendees included educators, youth-serving organizations, and various community stakeholders. The workshop resulted in strengthened cross-sector dialogue, a refined curriculum, and a clear directive for future scaling initiatives.

Reaching Youth, Showing Real Impact
After launching our video content, we began tracking several key outcomes. Our metrics include the number of youth engaged, total video views, the percentage increase in financial confidence among participants, and the percentage reporting improved money management skills.
We are also in the process of integrating AI tools and gamification into our programs.

2025–Present: Strengthening Community Bonds in Austin.
whealthy has partnered with the City of Austin's Health Department a Community Youth Development (CYD) Program in Dove Springs. This state-funded initiative aims to prevent juvenile delinquency by supporting families and fostering positive youth development within the 78744 area.
The CYD program features a Youth Advisory Committee (ages 13-17) for leadership and program input, and a Community Collaborative Committee (youth and adults) for setting priorities and guiding funding.
Program offerings include Post High-School Readiness (college/career skills) and Family Engagement (events for family relationships). Parents' Night Out offers caregivers a break with supervised youth activities.

Our plan grows successful programs, enhances digital tools, supports families, and tracks results. We will expand the Austin model nationwide by engaging new communities, creating custom plans, developing local leaders, and offering training. An interactive digital platform will provide easy content access, engaging experiences, community links, and data collection.
Family programs, including entrepreneurship, will help parents teach, encourage growth, boost skills, and promote financial independence. We will collect stories and data to prove effectiveness, monitor progress, evaluate thoroughly, and improve continuously.
